THE PHILIPPINE Health Insurance Corporation recently held its first Kapihan for the year, with its President and Chief Executive Officer Alexander A. Padilla in Pasig City. Partners from print and broadcast media attended the activity.
Padilla discussed the current policies concerning employers particulary on the recovery of payments for properly filed claims by employees but without qualifying contributions and the payment and reporting of employers and employees’ contributions.
He also took the opportunity to announce that PhilHealth will run after erring and delinquent employers who failed to remit the required contributions and to submit remittance reports.
He also encouraged employers in both government and private sectors to pay their contributions directly to PhilHealth’s accredited collecting agents or through its e-payment facilities and to submit their monthly reports online by adopting the Electronic Premium Reporting System or ePRS starting April 2015.
Kapihan is a regular activity which aims to bring media partners "up close and personal" with the PCEO and at the same time informing them of the latest developments on PhilHealth. # Adapted News, PHILHEALTH
