Thousands of applicants from different municipalities flocked to the Vigan Convention Center to avail the mobile passporting services with the initiatives of Governor Ryan Luis V. Singson and through the information dissemination initiated by the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur with its partner agency, the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Last August 02, 2019, a pre-application was held wherein application for minor, new adult, and renewal of passport undergone initial assessment to verify documents and government issued identification card fit within the requirements of the applicants at the Vigan Convention Center.

“We worked this out together with the DFA in order to serve our constituents and lessen their burden in going to the regional office in La Union to secure their passport”, Gov. Ryan said.

“This really helped us especially to those who cannot afford expenses in travelling to San Fernando like me, just to secure needed documents.” -Jane Paul Arruejo, one of the clients served.

The Provincial Tourism Development and Promotion Office headed by Mr. Ryan Astom and its personnel facilitated the said activity.
