PGIS DISTRIBUTES IT EQUIPMENT TO SCHOOLS

The provincial government of Ilocos Sur funded the procurement of different Information Technology Equipment to be used by the schools in the province.

Thirty four (34) computer set, twenty three (23) portable speakers and eleven (11) LCD projectors were given to sixty eight (68) public elementary and secondary schools. These equipment will be used to upgrade the quality of education especially in Information Technology.

The provincial government believes that investing in technology is very vital in honing the students to prepare them in the near future. Nowadays, computer plays an important role in the field of education and everything is becoming digital. In order that the schools will not be left out, the provincial education board allotted funds out of the Special Education Fund to grant the request of the school heads.

“We really see the need to provide these IT equipment. These would help our teacher and of course improve the learning of our children towards attaining a quality education. They are our future so let’s give them a good foundation, a better education.” Gov. Ryan said.

Meanwhile, the administration of Gov. Ryan also provides Provincial Scholar Program to help the poor families in sending their children to schools aside from the provision of educational equipment. #  Source – PIO Ilocos Sur
