DEPED SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL VOUCHER PROGRAM ONLINE APPLICATION ENDS FEBRUARY 28

The Department of Education (DepEd), in coordination with the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC), reminds private Grade 10 completers of school year (SY) 2017-2018 who are not Educational Service Contracting (ESC) grantees that the online application for the Senior High School (SHS) Voucher Program (VP) in SY 2018-2019 will close today, February 28, at 11:59 PM.

The SHS VP is a program of financial assistance to enable qualified Grade 10 completers to pursue their desired SHS education in private schools, state universities and colleges (SUCs), and local universities and colleges (LUCs) that offer SHS. It is one of the several initiatives of the government to make basic education accessible and affordable for Filipino learners nationwide.

Qualified Voucher Recipients (QVRs) shall receive a subsidy on their tuition and other school fees, the amount of which will depend on the category of the QVR, and the location of the school where the QVR will enroll.

Grade 10 completers from public schools, including SUCs and LUCs, and ESC grantees from private schools are already pre-qualified for the program and do not need to apply.

Private Grade 10 completers who are not ESC grantees and did not apply manually must apply online through the PEAC’s Online Voucher Application Portal (OVAP) at http://ovap.deped.gov.ph. The OVAP will no longer be accessible to applicants starting 12:00 MN, March 1, 2018.

Manual application for private Grade 10 completers who are not ESC grantees ended last January 31. Students who passed the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Test and the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) and are certified for admission to Grade 11 in SY 2018-2019 shall be able to submit their manual applications until June 15, 2018.

All applicants are advised to refer to DepEd Order No. 60, s. 2017, or “Guidelines on the Application for the Senior High School Voucher Program for School Year 2018-2019.”

Only complete applications that contain correct information and are submitted on or before the deadline shall be processed. Applications submitted on or before the deadline but are incomplete or contain false information are automatically disqualified and shall not be processed further. Applications submitted after the deadline shall not be entertained. #  Source – www.deped.gov.ph
