Presidential Proclamation No. 55 dated December 5, 1988 declares the month of December as National Volunteer Month (NVM).
The NVM serves as the country’s platform to recognize the contributions of the volunteer community to nation building and sustainable development.
With the theme, "Boluntarismo: Daan Tungo sa Pagbabago", this year's NVM is anchored on the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
