GOVERNOR RYAN AND OTHER OFFICIALS TAKE OATH OF OFFICE

The newly elected officials of the province of Ilocos Sur in the municipal, provincial and congressional level took their oath of office at the Vigan Convention Center on June 1, 2016.

Re-elected Governor Ryan Luis Singson took his oath of Office to Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonio Carpio. Gov. Singson administered the oath taking of Representatives Deogracias DV Savellano of the first district and Eric Singson of the second district, Vice Governor Jeremias Singson, the ten Sangguniang Panlalawigan members and his father former Governor Luis Chavit Singson who is now a Sangguniang Bayan Member of Narvacan town.

A mass oath taking was also conducted where the newly elected municipal officials swore before Gov.  Ryan to faithfully discharge to the best of their ability the duties and responsibilities they are tasked to do under the Republic of the Philippines.

Gov. Ryan said that his mandate is to unite all the officials who came from different political parties to create a harmony of leadership.  “The new chapter unfolds as we enter the doors of our new term. Fresh as it is, we give value to our past achievements, and from there we begin to jumpstart our actions. All alone, I cannot do the task of building this Province into what it should be at this time” he added.

The direction of his second term is refocused to areas such as sustainability of the superiority in agriculture pursuits, tourism industry, growing hospitality and allied industries, more health care development and facilities and infrastructure support in the province.

Meanwhile, the elected officials will assume office on the noon of June 30 as mandated by law. #  Source  - PIO Ilocos Sur
