GOV. RYAN SINGSON SEEKS RE-ELECTION; FORMER GOV. CHAVIT VIES FOR VICE GOV.

Governor Ryan Singson’s camp announces their slate on October 16, 2016 – the last day of filing of Certificate of Candicacy (COC) for the May 2016 Elections. The aspirants come from both Nationalista Party where Governor Ryan Singson is the provincial chairperson and Liberal Party where Congressman Eric Singson is the regional chairperson

Governor Ryan seeks re-election for the province of Ilocos Sur, while his father former Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson vies under him for vice governor. Incumbent Vice Governor Deogracias Victor “DV” Savellano runs for the position of 1st district representative while 2nd District Congressman Eric Singson aspires for his second term in office.

Under the ticket of NP and LP coalition, first district Sangguninang Panlalawigan aspirants include incumbent Board Members Jerry Singson and Constante Oandasan. Three faces were added in the group in the person of incumbent Sangguniang Bayan Member Benedict M.  Savellano of Cabugao, Ilocos Sur; Michaela Mendoza; and Christopher Baterina.

For Second District, the candidates for Sangguniang Panlalawigan include re-electionists SPM Jaime Singson, SPM Pablito Sanidad and SPM Joselle Gironella; the President of Vice Mayors’ League in Ilocos Sur, Mildred Elaydo; and Gina Cordero.

Meanwhile, 1st district representative Ronald Singson will not vie for any local position this 2016 elections. He chooses to manage the Singson’s businesses but he said, he may still serve the people of first district in any manner.

“We came up with this ticket after a thorough deliberation of the coalition. We want to assure the continuance of the services we have already started for the province of Ilocos Sur.” Governor Ryan said.

Governor Singson leads the group including the candidates’ family members and supporters in a mass before they proceed to file their COC in the office of the Provincial Election Supervisor of Ilocos Sur.  # Source  - PIO-Ilocos Sur
