PVET DISPENSES GOAT BREEDERS

The provincial government of Ilocos Sur headed by Gov. Ryan Singson distributes goat breeder to the different goat raisers in the province through the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVET).


Each association received one male and two female goats. These will served as their breeder to produce large number of goats and soon it will create an additional source of income for them by selling and making products out of this animals such as milk and cheese production.

These distributed goats under the livelihood program of the provincial government are of quality compared to the ordinary goats. In the span of four months, these can be sold amounting more than five thousand pesos per goat.

“The provincial government wants to provide livelihood for our goat raisers to aid them in gaining profit without spending a big capital” Gov. Ryan said.

Aside from the goat dispersal, the provincial veterinary office also provide training's and seminars to equip the goat raisers in maintaining their livelihood opportunity. Also, vitamins for the animals and grass to be planted were given to the associations.

The association of goat raisers greatly appreciated the province especially the unending support of Governor Ryan Singson to the agricultural sector.

“We are blessed for having this kind of livelihood. We will take good care of this beautiful present” goat raiser, Benjamin Tabor said.
        
The provincial government and goat raisers association are expecting that this livelihood program will establish a stable business and income to the Ilocanos. # Source – PIO Ilocos Sur
