DEPED TO ESTABLISH PHILHEALTH TSEKAP BHS IN PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

In support of the Kalusugan Pangkalahatan program of the government, the Department of Education (DepEd), together with the Department of Health (DOH) and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), builds a partnership to establish aPhilhealth Tamang Serbisyo para sa Kalusugan ng Pamilya(TSeKAP) accredited Barangay Health Station (BHS) in every barangay.

As contained in DepEd Memorandum No. 27, dated February 17 series of 2016, DepEd is committed to provide a lot or portion of the property not being actively utilized in public elementary schools inbarangays without an existing BHS and other government health service units.

In the course of program implementation, DepEd and DOH representatives together with the Schools Division Superintendents (SDS) will jointly validate the preliminary list of public schools in barangaysaccording to the criteria set for the intended program.

A final report containing the recommended list of schools signed by the School head/principal and SDS will be submitted by the DOH representative to DepEd Central Office for final validation.
