The provincial government has provided barangay health workers with a blood pressure apparatus complete with training on how it is used to better respond to residents' health needs.
Zenaida Pulido, BHW president, said the apparatus was distributed last month and has proved to be vital in monitoring residents' heart illnesses and other diseases.
"Although these BHWs have been working with just a minimum honorarium, they have given the services are required of them," she said.
Their request for BP apparatus is just part of their service so that they could actually work as health helpers in their respective barangays, Pulido, who is outstanding leader of BHWs in the Ilocos region in 2015, said. # Source - (MCA/Imelda C. Rivero/PIA1 Ilocos Sur).
