PRISAA UNIT V ATHLETIC MEET 2014, HELD AT CABUGAO

Cabugao, Ilocos Sur - Participants from the different private schools of  Ilocos Sur arrived for the two-day sporting event: PRISAA UNIT V ATHLETIC MEET 2014, with a Theme: “ Fostering Excellence in Sports” today  November 20, 2014 at Cabugao, Ilocos Sur.


Subsequently, a  Parade was held around the town  that participated in by the Delegates and Sports Officials  including the Cabugao Institute Team hosting  the competition.

The Contested Events will be held at the Cabugao Institute and the Cabugao District Athletic Ground located at the Cabugao South Central School at Brgy. Bonifacio, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur. 

After the Parade, a short program was held at the CI Quadrangle. The Honorable Mayor Edgardo S. Cobangbang, Jr. gave his Message. He welcomed all Athletes and Delegates and expressed his wish that this two-day multi-sport competition  be successful.


He also stressed the importance of joining athletic games to develop the potentials of young individuals.

Mayor Ediboy received a Certificate of Appreciation for his invaluable support to the conduct of the competition. The Award was given by the PRISAA Meet 2014  Officials led by Miss Maria S. Rondon. 

The Presentation of Delegates per Cluster  and the  Raising and Hoisting of Banner of the five cluster that comprises the different private schools (Elementary and High School) was done   before  Rhea Jane Ancheta led the Oath of Sportsmanship and  followed by the Athlete’s Prayer  by Meynard Lance Cabanero.


After the Lighting of the Torch by student representative from each cluster, Mr. Meneleo Palma, GES 1, Division Sports Coordinator announced the Formal Declaration of the Unit Meet. Likewise, he received also a  Certificate of Appreciation. 

Miss Maria S. Rondon, CI Principal administered the Ceremonial Toss and  assisted by Cluster 1 & II Basketball Players.

Before the Game Proper started, Mr. Meneleo Palma witnessed the Reading of the House Rules and Guidelines of  Tournament Formats. # (Web In-Action)
