Cabugao, Ilocos Sur - The Philhealth Branch, Heritage City of Vigan headed by Mrs. Marife B anlaoi in partnership with the LGU-Cabugao led by Mayor Edgardo “Ediboy” S. Cobangbang, Jr. have launched the Philhealth Primary Care Benefit Package: “Tamang Serbisyo para sa Kalusugan ng Pamilya” or TSeKap to the townspeople of Cabugao, Ilocos Sur.
The “TSeKaP” was held at the Cabugao Rural Health Unit Building, Brgy. Rizal, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur on February 24, 2015 (from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm). The Philhealth Staff and the RHU Personnel were supervised by Dr. B ernardino P. De Gracia III, Municipal Health Officer and Mrs. Janet Sison, Public Health Nurse for this one-day activity.
Prior to this, the Philhealth Team made a courtesy call to Mayor Ediboy at the Mayor’s Office.
The services offered are BP measurement; blood typing; blood letting, eye check-up; dental check-up; pregnancy test and weighing (Pregnant & Children). This medical services will highlight the nationwide celebration of the 20th Philhealth Anniversary every month of February.
The Philhealth states: The value of social health insurance to every Filipino family has been highlighted and reinforced at the start of each year. This time, the celebration of NHIP Month coincides with the 20th Anniversary of the government corporation primarily tasked to administer the country’s social health insurance program – the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth). The agency has opted to devote the entire 2015 to salute two decades of public service through low-key but high-impact events that are designed to make the celebration more meaningful.
Other activities that will be undertaken in the Regional Office within the NHIP Month include health and wellness activities.
