Vigan City - Ilocos Sur Governor Ryan Luis V. Singson urged the representatives of various government agencies to join him on working for peace and development in the province.
In his opening message right after he had called the joint provincial peace and order council ( PPOC ), provincial disaster risk reduction management council ( PDRRMC), provincial council for the protection of children ( PCPC), meeting to order, Singson also reiterated his appeal to the participants who attended the said meeting held at Baluarte, Salindeg, Vigan City to provide him the necessary data. Feedbacks and reactions which have something to do in addressing the different issues and concerns in terms of peace and order, disaster preparedness, anti-drug addiction and children’s care protection and welfare, were the main focus of discussions during the said meeting. “Your questions are very much appreciated. These would serve as valuable inputs in our efforts to make these four councils work more effective,” the Governor added. The main objective of the joint councils meeting is to assess and evaluate the peace and order situation, disaster preparedness capability, activities against the proliferation of illegal drugs and the present condition of the children in the province in terms of their protection and welfare.
Meanwhile also present who actively participated during the meeting were Vice Gov. Deogracias Victor “DV” Savellano, members of the Provincial Board, Ilocos Sur Mayors, AFP officers, Chiefs of Police, media practitioners and other representatives from the different Agencies of the Government. # (Adapted News, PIO-Ilocos Sur)
