THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE celebrates its 21st Ethics Day during the traditional Monday flag raising ceremony simultaneous in all Police Headquarters nationwide.
In Camp Crame, the celebration was spearheaded by Senator Panfilo Lacson, Chairman of the PNP Foundation Inc., as Guest of Honor and Speaker, together with the Secretary of Interior and Local Government (SILG) Mar Roxas II and Officer-In-Charge, PNP Deputy Director General Leonardo A. Espina.
“There is no better reward for public servants like us than one of self respect and dignity, not only as the individual members of this organization but as a police institution,” said Sen. Lacson who is also a former Chief, PNP.
PNP Ethics Day is celebrated annually to remind all PNP personnel the importance of good moral and ethics in doing its day-to-day obligation.
Adhering with its main core values; God fearing, nationalistic, humane and environment friendly, they are also committed to practice the Police Professional Conduct such as; commitment to democracy, commitment to public interest, provide services to everyone without discrimination (non- partisanship), strive to be physically and mentally fit and in good health at all times, secrecy discipline, social awareness, non-solicitation of patronage, proper care and use of public property, respect for human rights, devotion to duty, conservation of natural resources, discipline, loyalty, obedience to superiors and command responsibility.
PNP personnel are also reminded to perform their duties with integrity, intelligence and competence in the application of specialized skills and technical knowledge with excellence and expertise, to boost the standard of police professionalism. (PNP-PIO)
