Cabugao, Ilocos Sur is a recipient of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG)

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) introduced the Seal of Good Local Governance in an effort to further strenghten accountability of Local Government Units -  an improved version of the Seal of Good Housekeeping. The Seal of Good Local Governance monitors and awards LGU’s with good performance in six (6) basic elements; 

1.Good Financial Keeping
2.Disasters Preparedness
3.Social Protection
4.Business Friendliness and Competitiveness
5.Environment Management and
6.Peace and Order

LGU Cabugao, true to its mandate, anchors on various programs such as business-friendly and competitive LGU, Environment Protection, Disaster Resilient; Socially-protective and self-reliant, adherent to law and order and public safety. This ensures the outcome geared towards an inclusive growth and poverty reduction; sustainable development-oriented local government; and accountable, transparent, participative and effective local governance. These are the core assessments made as reference by DILG in conferring the Seal of Good Local Governance to LGU Cabugao. The participative effors made by all sectors and all other stakeholders are key to the award.

The Seal of Good Local Governance will be the mother seal that LGU Cabugao attained and will serve as manifestation of its good performance in governance. 

The award was headed to the Municipal Officials by the Provincial Director of the DILG Hon. Agnes A. de Leon accompanied by Ms. Mila Madriaga, (LGOO VI) and Oliva R. Guzman (LGOO V)

This achievement is shared with the whole town of Cabugao, Ilocos Sur!.###
