ILOCOS SUR IS MISS WORLD PHILIPPINES TOURIST DESTINATION

THE PRESTIGIOUS pageant, Miss World Philippines has chosen the province of Ilocos Sur as their official tourist destination this year. The twenty seven lovely and gorgeous candidates arrived in the province on October 6, 2015. The beauties introduced themselves as they ramp in the Gala Night held at Vigan City Convention Center.

The candidates stayed in the province for three days andenjoyed the splendour of the tourist destinations in Ilocos Sur. They held their photo shoot in the white sand beach of Cabugao beach resort, in the Historical Crisologo Street, the Syquia Mansion, Pagburnayan and in Bantay Bell tower.

These places have been a part of history of the province and have an innate and diverse beauty, like the heritage village where we can see the preserved old houses and where the first community of the Spaniards in the north settled.

The province of Ilocos Sur is honored for the great opportunity brought by this activity. This can lead to a greater break for the province to promote the different tourist destinations and gives a progressive mark in the tourist zone of the province.

Governor Ryan Luis V. Singson greatly appreciated the National Director of the Pageant for choosing Ilocos Sur as their official tourist destination. “The province of Ilocos Sur is very lucky for having Miss World Philippines here in the province. Surely, they will bring a positive impact in our tourist sector.” Gov. Ryan said.

Former Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson also believes that the activity brought a big promotion in the tourist section. “We need to help one another, work hand in hand in order for our province to be recognized in term of distinct destinations.” He added.

Miss World Philippines organizer, Ms. Cory Quirino has been planning to make Ilocos Sur as their tourist destination since 2011. Now that this plan became into reality, she was honored for having a chance to promote the beautiful destinations in the province. “It’s not that I am from the province but the province itself, truly an attractive province.” She added.

Meanwhile, the lovely candidates displayed their physically fit bodies and stunning guises in the swim wear and casual wear.

Candidate number 21, Miss Allyson Howell from Catanduanes was chosen as Miss World Philippines, Ilocos Sur by the provincial government as she stands out among the candidates during their visit in the province.

“I was very honored to represent Ilocos Sur. I will do my best to help in advertising the impressive destinations in your place.” Ms. Howell said.
